Title: For Claire
Synopsis:
I perked up as his lips lingered against my skin. I ran my thumb under the envelope's flap, ready for whatever bit of birthday cheer awaited me inside. To my surprise, it wasn’t a bright, glittery card with a sappy poem or a jab at my age. Instead, I pulled out two pieces of hastily folded together white paper.
Confused, I looked up at Dylan as I unfolded the papers. “You know what this is all about?”
He nodded, his blue eyes practically glowing with excitement. “Just open it.”
Flattening the sheets out on the counter, I frantically scanned the travel itinerary that had been printed out and sent to me, my heart thumping with anticipation as soon as I realized what was going on. “Jay’s coming to visit on my birthday!”

~What I'm Reading: By Amanda Swan!~
New adult romance: I’ve read A LOT of new adult romance this past year. Occasionally, I’ll read contemporary or erotic romance when I come across a book that interests me, and I haven’t read a historical in I don’t know how long. New adult romance is hot right now, and there are tons of talented authors churning out slightly addictive books either as standalones or as parts of series. Jessica Sorenson is definitely my favorite new adult author, but I’ve also been enjoying Cora Carmack, K.A Tucker, R.S Grey.
Fantasy and dystopian young adult: I listen to these books when I walk my dog, work out, cook, clean, drive, etc. Essentially, when if I’m not working and my Kindle isn’t in my hands, I probably have a really good young adult book playing. I loved The Hunger Games series. I can see myself going back to that one again soon. Recently, I’ve wrapped up the Graceling series and Shiver series. Both were great. My husband usually listens to the books along with me. I enjoy talking about what we’re listening to. As a English major, I love book talk and missed engaging in it on a daily basis before we started up our Audible account.
Comics: I enjoy reading a few comics a week. I’ll pretty much read anything Vertigo puts out. Fables is my favorite comic, but FBP, Coffin Hill, and American Vampire are all really cool too.

With two fingers, Dylan shoved the envelope a few more inches in my direction and pressed a kiss to my forehead. “This will brighten your spirits, I promise.”I perked up as his lips lingered against my skin.
