Kiss Me I'm Irish Read-A-Long...Final Week!

Today is the last day of the Kiss Me I'm Irish Read-A-Long...*sniff* I really love participating in these kinds of things because you get a totally in-depth(sometimes too in depth...lol...) look into not only the story, but the book-bloggers who participate. It also forces me to take the time to really think about a book, which I sometimes fail to do when I'm reading so many books at once. I absolutely adored this month's book and I just wanna give a holla to all of the bloggers who hosted and came up with such nifty questions! Thanks you guys! You are totally amaze-balls!!! I can't wait until the next read-along and you can bet your sweet arse (as Atty would say) that I will be participating! See y'all then :)

Questions for Chapters 21-25 + epilogue
1. In a moment of anger, Atticus reveals something about himself that he usually keeps very secret, for his own benefit. Has something similar ever happened to you? Have you ever spilled a closely guarded secret in a moment of excitement or anger or absent-mindedness?
Well...I did...and I was very ashamed after it happened. I got so angry with a friend of mine that I spouted out the rumors that people had been saying about her behind her back for weeks. It wasn't anything that she didn't know, but hearing it out-loud, from her best friend's mouth really hurt her. She knew people had suspicions about her and what had happened in her past, but no one had ever said it to her before and it really damaged our friendship. I always try to think before I say anything, even in anger, because of how much that kind of a situation hurts people without meaning to.
2. Atticus tells Mrs. MacDonagh, "the universe is exactly the size that your soul can encompass. Some people live in extremely small worlds, and some live in a world of infinite possibility." Then he asks her what she is going to do with the new information she has discovered. What would you do if you found out that other beings were among us? Would you deny it or embrace it?
Holy Crap...Embrace the EFF out of those paranormal beasties...Literally and Figuratively ;) I would be a fan-girl out on their porches wearing Team ***** Shirts...(depending on which creatures were real...Team Werewolf, Team Vamp...etc) I would probably be so obnoxious that they would have two choices...turn me into whatever they were or dispose of me...I would hope the turning...otherwise Buh-Bye Andra...
3. So far, Atticus has revealed a few of his powers and has even shared some power by putting bindings on Granuaile. What do you think has been his coolest or most helpful power so far?
Dude...all of his powers are freaking sweet. I love everything about him from the herb teas to make old people feel better, to his mad sword-fighting skills, to his healing magic. It is actually amazing the extend of his powers and I can't wait to see what more he has in store for us. Though I do love it when the bad-guys get their feet bound to the ground and stand there looking all confuzzled about why the lawn suddenly decided it wanted a foot sandwich.
4. Atticus gets pretty pissed when he finds out that Aenghus Óg is drawing power from the Earth and, in turn, killing it. That's when Atticus decides he must fight the old Fae for committing such a heinous offense. What is something you would fight for, even if it meant you might die trying?
Friends and Family....without a doubt. There are certain people on this earth that make me more...well...me when I'm with them. I'm a better person because I know them and I wouldn't know how to exist in a world where they didn't...If someone EVER threatened my Alex, Josh, Kalee, Laureline, Kevin or Neka....I would throw down so hard you wouldn't even KNOW what's up. And if heaven forbid that they got killed or injured, whoever caused it would be in for a world of hurt unlike anything they've ever thought possible...*glares*
5. What did you think of the final showdown between Atticus and Aenghus Óg? Did it go down the way you expected? Was there anything about their battle that surprised you?
I did expect it to go towards our favorite Druid. I mean...there ARE two more book in the series...it's not like he could have really died. But at the same time I didn't really know what to expect. Kevin did a very good job keeping the cards close to his chest so you really didn't know what was going to happen once the battle began. There was a lot of coolness, especially with all the interactions between the different faiths and pantheons. I also loved that the Morrigan came. She's an intriguing character and I want to see more about her and Brigid and the rest of the Celts.
6. What was your favorite/least favorite part of Hounded? Who was your favorite/least favorite character?
I think my favorite parts were anything concerned with Oberon. He was a hoot and a half as my Grandma would say. It wasn't like...my least favorite thing or anything, but I would like to get to know Perry and see Atticus working at his store a little more and have some every-day interactions. I think my favorite character would have to be Atticus....as much as I loved Oberon, he's still a dog...and who doesn't want to lust after a magical Irishman...but close seconds were definitely the widow, Oberon, Leif, and even Granuile at the end.
7. What do you think is coming up next for Atticus? Will you continue reading this series, and if so, what do you hope to see happen in the next book?
I really have no clue. I think there may be some repercussions from that battle...what with the escaped demons and the dead earth and stuff. Also, now that Atticus has destroyed half of the coven what with the other half do? Will they go revenge seeking? Will they try to kill Atty? I really don't know...but I will definitely find out! I've got the next two books lined up on my TBR shelf and will get to them right away!

  1. His range of powers are quite amazing. It's like he's got the best of every paranormal creature all rolled into one. He'd be an awesome ally and a fearful enemy.

  3. Eeep! I totally did something similar as your answer to #1. Except, the "rumor" was false. It cost me my best friend. To this day that is one of my biggest regrets.

We can totally fangirl together! We can just make up weekly shirts for all the different groups and BAM! we're set for our fangirling ways. That and possible death, but pffft whats a little death. LOL!

I know I'd like me some magical Irishman. Seriously. Any day.

  9. I think you could write for Urban Dictionary!!
Foot Sandwich - when the ground eats your feet
    amaze-balls - synonym for amazing

Again, I just got a little smarter, one blog at a time!!! Oh, and it's killing me that I can't tell you what's coming up for a character you're interested in. I'll just wait for your review ;)

  10. I totally feel ya about the secret thing. I only told one person my friend's secret, but I knew that person was a blabber mouth *sigh*

I wouldn't mind a little more Perry either.
