Q. In books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet, for real?
Dude, I don't know about you people...but I'd be down if suddenly, every magical creature known to fiction and legend just happened to walk down the street tomorrow afternoon. I love everything paranormal. Seriously. If I would have one wish...ok two wishes...the first would be that Harry Potter was real and that I was 11 and my name was Hermione Granger...but THEN I would wish that all the paranormal creatures would be real. Sure there would be widespread panic as the human race found out that there are probably like 30 links above it on the food chain...but still...I feel like I've read enough paranormal books to be kind of prepared. If I was FORCED at gunpoint to pick only one it would have to be Vamps...but still...I don't want it to only be one...Think of a world with all those new job openings! It would be great for the economy. There would be so many positions as sex slave, food, real slave/servant, daylight assistant (for those of the paranormals who are sunshine-intolerant) etc. Plus, with all the eating of people going on, that pesky over-population problem will be gone in a snap! :)
Book Associations: Which genre, authors, or particular books do you think people associate with your reading style?Well, that depends. I have certain friends that I only talk about say...historical fiction and romance with. They are not the people who appreciate the awesomeness of Vamps and Werewolves...so they would probably recommend things like Nicholas Sparks...(I'm not hating...it's just...the notebook would have been SO much better with Zombies...) But those who really know me would associate me with Paranormals, Zombie Books...and DEFINITELY Dystopians. I love all of the above!.

Non-book-related this week!! Do you have pets?
Heck Yes I have a pet! For those of you who caught me on Better Know a Blogger over at For What It's Worth, you caught a glimpse of my crazy/weird/awesome cat named Minnie. And Minnie isn't your typical cat...nope....she's a hairless cat! Formally known as a Sphynx, informally known as "EWWW IS THAT A RAT?!?" (not that I think she looks like one....that's just what people think when they see her for some reason...) She's soft, likes to snuggle during the cold winter months, and loves to be petted and to sit on "her people's" laps. She's weird...when one of the family leaves for a few days or however long, she will sit outside their door or in their bed missing them...she's part mom, HUGE part Princess, and part old grandma...I kid you not about the princess...she will sit on your feet and meow at you until you get up, tuck her into bed, and then cuddle with her...she could do it by herself, but she has us peasants to take care of her needs...I <3 her :)
Hopping through. As much as I love vamps, most of them freak me out a bit. I'd love if the Harry Potter wizards were real - only if I could be a witch though.

HAHA! I love your answer. That would be my first wish too. And I think it would be awesome if not one, but all mythical creatures came to life. (ok maybe not all, but most!) I don't want some of the titans from greek myth to come to life, but most of the others im cool with.

Your cat looks like a princes. Mine gives me the same look when she wants something. The "you know I'm cute so get your butt up and get me this" kind of look. I don't mind though. My autumns cuddles a lot.
ReplyDeleteHippies, Beauty, and Books. Oh My!
your answer had me LOL positions for sex slaves? lol.
ReplyDeleteYour kitty is sooo adorable! I've not met anyone who has a sphinx either. She doesn't look like a rat to me but she does look worried. :) lol
ReplyDeleteLOL! I remember her from your BKAB post. Informally known is right. Minnie is rather shocking at first glance, but you can tell she is a total princess. :)

I love the way you write! I'm a new followerrrrr!! :D
ReplyDeleteI think Minnie is super awesome! Ever since watching Austin Powers, I've wanted a Mr. Bigglesworth, and also, my sister is allergic to cats, but that's besides the point :]
Vamps would open up the economy greatly! That's a fantastic way of looking at it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great week!
