Conservationist Sophie Kyle takes up a position on a private game farm outside Cape Town in the hopes of paying off her student loans and adding a glowing reference to her resume, while getting the chance to indulge her passion for wildlife conservation.

Reuben Manning is a British business tycoon who has bought a game farm in Africa which he intends to use as a venue to entertain friends and business associates. With all the suddenness and intensity of a bush-fire, a powerful attraction ignites between the conservationist and the tycoon. But their lives are set to play out on opposite sides of the world. Sophie has only ever wanted to spend her days in the African bush, while Reuben’s life is corporate London.

As the wild and sensuous bond between the two grows, they must overcome many obstacles to find common ground or they are doomed, despite their passion for each other, to spend the rest of their lives a continent apart.
~My Thoughts~
A wildlife conservation in South Africa? What a perfect setting for a steamy romance! That was not sarcastic at all, I hope you know, because this would totally be my dream way of meeting a guy! Imagine all the hijinks that could ensue? Being sprayed with water from an elephant...being in danger from a pride of lions only to be rescued by the daring and dashing hero...oh the possibilities! Leigh does a great job making the possible happen with her who leads Reuben and Sophie.

It's a definite case of opposites attract, because while Sophie's working to save the animals, Reuben is a rich businessman who just bought a game farm and is planning on hosting hunting parties there to entertain his possible clients and partners...yikes! While the attraction between the two is on fire, they are bound to be torn apart as they have completely separate lives!

The writing style is a very embellished ones, using words that I've rarely seen outside of the flourishing turns of poetry or songs, but that gave it a unique quality. Leigh uses a lot of sing-songy phrases and very romantic declarations to show off the emotional gymnastics that her characters go through.

Moonflower is a short one, more of a novella really, but with saucy, steamy moments throughout and a HEA that we can all love, Moonflower is a definite must read for these hot days of summer!

Reuben Manning stared at the woman in front of him. He wasn’t sure what he’d expected his new conservationist to be like; but a beauty, all long golden limbs and bronze hair, stomping through the bush with rifle in hand, wearing sturdy hiking boots, shorts and a lacy white bra, definitely wasn’t it.

He took the hand held out to him. Her grip was strong, confident, and a little sticky. The heat of her skin tingled in his fingers. He withdrew quickly, wiped his palm against his trouser leg and inclined his head towards her chest. ‘Do you usually walk around like that out here? That standard conservation practice?’

He’d expected her to drop her eyes, look mortified. Instead she searched his face. For what, Reuben wondered? Surely she didn’t think he was joking. This was the person to whom he would entrust the safety of his friends and business associates.

‘No, of course not,’ Sophie said. ‘I got a puncture.’

She hesitated, moved the shirt against her chest. Reuben realised he’d been staring at the tops of her breasts. Two perfect golden orbs.

‘So you took your shirt off to fix a puncture.’

‘No, of course not.’ Sophie shook her head; a thick copper ponytail had escaped the sedate bun, and swished side-to-side.

‘Well then, let’s hear it, Ms Kyle. Because what I’m seeing is a far cry from the sort of professionalism I’d expect from an experienced conservationist.’
~Meet Leigh!~
Leigh writes romance novels set in her native South Africa. She has always had a love affair with Africa’s wild spaces, the intensity of its people and sunsets. Her love of storytelling began as a child when she spent every spare moment playing barefoot in golden grass, watching meerkats, learning to track spoor and dreaming up heroes and heroines dynamic enough to stand out in all the beauty and drama of the African landscape. Always in search of adventure, Leigh’s journey as a writer has taken her from journalism to communications, all the way to writing novels.
Leigh will be awarding a $10 Amazon or Barnes and Noble GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour.
