Calling All Steampunk Authors, Bloggers, Artists and Fans!

Hopefully some of you recognize the above button and are getting at least a little excited! Last February was the first ever Let's Get Steamy: A Celebration of All Things Steampunk! For those of you who didn't follow me or didn't choose to participate then, Let's Get Steamy is a celebration of all aspects of the Steampunk Genre. And I mean EVERY aspect. Last year saw artists, musicians, authors, jewelers and SO much more all drawing together to show off the amazingly creative and awesome genre that we all love! Or should love! I am always surprised at how many bloggers and readers don't know what Steampunk is! My response to such confusion is to host this event to spread the word about one of my favorite genre's out there.  Steampunk is a growing phenomena of color, sounds, fashion, and of course, BOOKS  and I want to do my part to get everyone participating in such a wonderful explosion of imagination! :)

SO. Due to the MASSIVE success of Let's Get Steamy last year, I've decided to host it once again and make it a sort of annual thing so I am starting my hunt for authors to feature for the event!
YES...I know it's August
...and YES I know that February is a long ways away...but...I'm too excited to wait! I want to make this year's celebration even bigger and better than ever! I've already started stockpiling prizes (believe me guys...there are some AMAZING prizes this year!) and making pleas to artists and authors to be part of the event and I need your help! I would LOVE It if you, my AMAZING followers could help spread the word about the event! Tweet, Blog, Facebook, Tumble, ANYTHING to get author's and other blogger's attention! And remember...some of the best Steampunk artists and fashionistas are on Etsy so don't forget to ask them too!! Here's a premade tweet to make it easy for you!

  1. I'm so excited to hear about this! (I'm new to your blog *grin* so I didn't participate last February). I'm VERY new to Steampunk and have no idea where to begin. February will give me plenty of options, I'm sure.

    1. Oh I'm SO very excited to have you aboard Christina!! :) I'm actually planning on including an "intro" to Steampunk section just for followers like you! If you'd like to dip your tootsies into the realm of Steampunk without drowning under all the newness and gadgets and whatnot I'd say start out with Kady Cross's Girl in the Steel Corset! It's got a lot of steampunk aspects without being too much for the new steampunker to handle! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see more of you!

    2. Christina, if you are looking for a spring board into Steampunk there is a series of articles from Doctor Fantastique's that are all about getting started.

  2. Replies

P.S.: Love how you want to cover the whole history and all the aspects! This will give a great overview :)

    1. Thanks so much chick! I'm definitely trying to cover everything this year so hopefully it will be absolutely fantastic! Look forward to seeing you!

  4. I tweeted, but I think it's too early to snag the button. I'll be back!

  5. My Bookish Bundle for this week was Steampunk themed, and I made sure to mention the Let's Get Steamy event!

  6. Steampunk Gypsy! You've won the first Steampunk Book of your choice! Email me or tweet to get your prize!
