Title: Beneath
Synopsis:
Nine years have passed since the tragic and mysterious deaths of Mr. Phillips and his daughter. A new clue surfaces, one which the lead investigator will follow to the brink of insanity.
Young Howard leaps from the bridge. Before hitting the lake he has curled himself into to a ball, causing water to splash everywhere. His mother watches him from the kitchen, smiling. She’s glad they bought this place, even though she has wash the dishes by hand. It is quiet here, serene, and she gets to spend quality time with her husband. She was worried about the kids as the cabin is so far out in Mirkwood that modern conveniences are out of the question, but the kids loves it too.
Howard rises above the water, and yells for his mom’s attention. He can swim all the way to the other side, just watch, he can prove it. Mrs. Phillips smiles and gives him a thumbs up. She doesn’t take his eyes of him as he swims, except for picking up the occasional dirty dish. As Howard is about to reach the other side, she starts wondering when Mr. Phillips and Julia plan on coming back. They’ve been gone for hours.
Little Julia had been all exited when her father told her of what lived in the forrest. They had barely unpacked before she demanded that he took her out to show her all the animals and bugs this place had to offer. Her father laughed and told her he would do his best.
They had been gone a long time. The sun was about to come down, and Mrs. Phillips was starting to worry. Just as Howard was about to reach the other side, they heard the screams. Nothing was ever the same after that.

To whoever reads this: I feel that I must apologize if what
you find on these pieces of paper appears to be nothing more than a collection
of near-indecipherable words. I can assure you that I have tried everything I
can think of, and yet I cannot keep my hands from trembling. This, however, is
only a symptom of my much greater problems.
I cannot eat, or sleep, or even close my eyes for longer
than the briefest of moments. I feel as if I’m about to lose my mind, but I’m
clear enough to realize that I have to get this story off my chest, before it
consumes whatever sanity I have left. Unfortunately, the only recipient I can
trust with a story as bizarre and horrible as this are the same pieces of paper
upon which these words are written.
~Meet Robin!~
