Synopsis:
Since arriving in Little Glen, Scotland, Meghan Kennedy’s life has gotten decidedly more interesting. She entered into a bet with hunky ex-SBS soldier, Will, betting him that she would not fall in love with him. She discovered an ancient marriage Contract specifically designed to join her family to Will’s and to top it all off, she learns that she had a spell cast on her…800 years before she was even born. None of it mattered, because she refused to make the same mistake twice.

Will’s hard body and sexy grin didn’t matter, his beautiful hypnotic eyes didn’t matter, and it didn’t matter that every time they kissed her body would call out for his, as though denied his touch for hundreds of years.

Ex-SBS soldier William Mackenzie is disciplined, trained to be an efficient solider and he takes the same approach with his business, and life. Then Meghan arrived, with her fiery temper and hair to match, and he knows she is lying about the reasons why she came to Little Glen, he just doesn’t care.

All he does care about is Meghan. Her feisty temper bemuses him, her beauty astounds him and her stubbornness annoys the hell out of him. Lucky for him, he doesn’t know how to quit, he can be just as stubborn and occasionally ruthless, and he will use any means necessary to get her. Of course the ‘means’ at his disposal just happen to be a bet, a marriage contract and an ancient spell, but if in the end Meghan belongs to him, who was he to argue.
~~~Happily Ever Afters: Yes or No? ~~~
Honey, that is a loaded question, especially when you ask me, the girl that lost her s**t when Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Billy was killed at the end of The Departed. *Booo. Hiss.*
          So, my answer to your question would be...YES! You had better believe happily ever afters are a must. This is of course the personal opinion of a woman who writes erotic romance, so my view might be a tad biased.
          When I buy books, I’m looking for entertainment and I want to feel satisfied at the end. I want feisty women who takes crap from no one, muscular dudes who have a soft spot for those sassy chicks and I want love to prevail! Hallelujah!
           I don’t want books that leave you weeping into your pillow over the shattered lives of fictional characters. Particularly when these books ring closer to real life crimes; than a fictional story. If I want reality, I’ll turn on the 6 o’clock news and save myself $8.99. Sheesh!
          Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve read books with horrific scenes and plots, but you better believe all the good guys were alive and well, the bad guys were caught and there was some sweaty hard-core love’in by the end.
So thanks but no thanks reality, I think I’ll just stick to my HEA.
Whew! That was quite the rant, I’m out of breath. LOL
I think it’s time for some soothing medicinal wine.
Cheers
Nancy
“No, I’m not married, and I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Then why can’t you?”
“I just can’t. I told you, I’m here to see Duncan. I’ll be going home soon.” She hoped Ryan would be able to straighten this mess with Rob, then she wouldn’t be lying “It wouldn’t be right. Can we just be friends?”
His probing stare searched her face. The look was so intense that she felt herself become ashamed for not telling him the entire truth. Well, she hadn’t told him a complete lie either, she would be going home soon, she just didn’t know when. The other part was that she just wasn’t ready to get ‘involved’. Will was a scorching hot, hunky Scotsman and she couldn’t afford to fall into a trap that she had just got out of. She had been such a naïve fool, and still felt that way even after all these months. She had placed her trust in Rob, had confided in him and he’d used her, had tricked her, and had lied to her. The Dickhead.
She watched him, searching for some outward show of emotion. He showed her nothing.
“I would rather be more than yer friend Meghan—but I’ll take what I can get. For now. And as we are being honest”—his accent became thicker as he put a strong emphasis on the word honest—“wi’ each other, then let me tell you this. I can be a patient man when I need to be, but I don’t give up easily. And seeing how ye are going to make me wait I want somethin’ to tide me over.”
Despite his hard words, Will was extremely gentle as his arms surrounded her. His mouth was hot and demanding, and for a second time she became so intoxicated by his kiss that she sighed when she felt Will tug her sweater open and pin her against his hard chest.
He was right, she thought dreamily. If this was the one time she had to kiss him, it might as well be a doozy…
~~~Meet Nancy!~~~

My name is Nancy Adams. I am a full-blooded Canadian, right down to the maple syrup running though my veins. I enjoy watching hockey but despise skating...and the cold. I enjoy a good helping of Tourtiere with a side of Poutine as much as the next person, yet I am only bilingual when it comes to swear words.Besides writing, I have three small - but legal - addictions: bed linens, lavender and books. All of which are replenished on a regular basis. Reading into the wee hours of the morning is one of my many bad habits, next to spontaneously rearranging furniture and randomly painting rooms in my house.

Nancy will be awarding a $20 GC to Amazon to one randomly drawn commenter during the tour! So get commenting! What is your favorite trope in romance? Do you find yourself attracted to one particular country, like Ireland, Australia, or China in your foreign settings?

  10. I don't always need a HEA. I like reading stories set all over the globe. No one particular favorite.

    1. Good for you Mary!
      You will never be bound to one particular genre and you find satisfaction in simply reading. I wish I could do that. *sighs* But my OCD doesn't allow anything less than that HEA. lol

  11. I'm with you, I want a HEA, or at the very least, a HFN. Though I will occasionally read something that doesn't end happily, I pretty much prefer HEAs or HFNs.
