Stacking the Shelves #1

So I've finally settled for a replacement meme for In My Mailbox. There were SO many memes cropping up after the whole incident with the Story Siren that I didn't know where to look for all my favorite blogger's hauls and buys for the week! I still miss having hundreds and hundreds of bloggers in the same place, but I definitely see where people are coming from by deciding not to participate in In My Mailbox anymore. That being said! One of my favorite replacement memes has been Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews! It has   a freaking sweet button and lots of my bloggy friends also participate so I figured if I have to pick one that's the one to go!
This week I found a RIDICULOUS amount of amazing paranormal romance books at my local Goodwill. I am quite positive that the employees were on the verge of calling 911 due to the hysterics I exhibited at finding the entire collective works of Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole in PERFECT CONDITION for 25 cents each. Seriously...I squealed so loudly that people turned to stare from 8 isles over. But COME ON! Wouldn't you guys do the same thing?? All I can think of is the wonderful person who decided that they didn't need to own them. They made my WEEK!

Also, I went garage-sailing this week and had an amazing haul there as well! I got 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and the entire Evermore series! woohoo! I also (sadly) finally got my first Nora Roberts books. I typically stay far FAR away from authors like Nora Roberts, Mary Higgens Clark, James Patterson, etc because of the kind of...well to be honest...generic blather that comes out of them. They tend to write predictable novels with average plots and ho-hum characters. BUT I had heard about the Key Trilogy by Nora Roberts and it has witches in it...maybe the addition of magic will give the books a little more oomph than I have come to expect...Plus keys are kind of my thing. I like them...I wear them all the time and have lots of key and lock jewelry and decorations...so I just kind of had to buy when I saw the covers.

In other news! I accepted WAY too many copies of books to review and I will probably give myself a brain-breakage trying to read them all, but I will definitely never be lacking in the reading material department.
Portlandtown by Rob DeBorde
Pale by Chris Woodling
The Demon Catchers of Milan by Renee Ryan
Sam Cruz's Infallible Guide to Getting Girls by Tellulah Darling
Finding Magic by Stacia Kane
Something Witchy This Way Comes by H.P. Mallory
The Icarus Project by Laura Quimby

SO What did everyone else get this week??? Hope your mailbox and inbox were full of wonderful review requests and review copies! Happy Weekend!

  8. I have 13 Reasons Why, but I haven't read it yet. I hope you enjoy it. I must admit I am jealous that you have books at your Goodwill for 25 cents. They're about a dollar to a dollar-fifty each here. I also went to a few garage sales and a book sale this week, and got wayy too many books to mention. lol.

  10. Love Goodwill and garage sales. And at those prices you can give Robert's a shot without breaking the bank. Though I prefer her Three Sisters witch trilogy to this one, I think I vaguely recall that it was enjoyable.
