Q: When you’ve read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)
I suppose that depends on how much I enjoyed it. I have two keeper shelves. On huge one for the stuff I liked that I might want to just collect, and then my Unequivocally Epic shelf. It's a smaller shelf, but that's because it takes a lot to achieve that level of greatness. So far, books that have made that list are: Harry Potter, Twilight, Merry Gentry, Bloody Jack, The Night Circus, and most recently, The Iron Duke!
For the most part though, I end up either giving it away or saving it so then I can have my big mystery box giveaways! Sometimes I'll take them in and swap at my local used book store or with another blogger. Ruby's Reads hosts a Saturday Swap that I've always wanted to participate in but never had the books to swap lol.

Ha, well this one comes as no surprise to me. It's my MY BOOK BOYFRIEND post when I featured Dave from Jesse Petersen's Living with the Dead series. I think the reason it currently has over 900 views this month (even though it's from like...October I think...) is because of all the half naked pictures of Jensen Ackles...yeah, He's HAWT :)
I save my favorites and try to give away the rest. I have a lot of unread books too so those stay until I can find time.

Unequivocally epic! I like that. I have two bookshelves but I still don't have a system for them.

I only keep my favorites - but 99% of my books these days come from the library.
ReplyDeleteI keep all my books, even if I don't like them! :) New follower
ReplyDeleteGood for you for only having two shelves ... I have 5 bookcases of books that I really don't want to part with! Luckily, I don't think that makes me a hoarder or anything. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Book Boyfriend posts!
Happy FF & TGIF!
I try to keep my books, but I live in an apartment, so now I'm trying to be more selective in what I keep. Then whatever I don't keep, I use as giveaways, or swap them with another book blogger.

And I may bookmark the boyfriend post as well. That man is worth looking at 900 times...especially in the middle of my work day. Do you think anyone would mind? Nope, I didn't think so either ;)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo Jensen Ackles. Love him.
ReplyDeleteI usually keep all my books...and since I do my husband is telling me we might have to get another apartment with an extra bedroom just for my books...I said ok, it'll be the lobrary room...lol
