My Book Boyfriend (6) Eric Northman

The men who stay in our thoughts late at night, who plague us during our long hours at work, who cause us to stare off into the starry night and sigh, because we want them here with us. Yes ladies, its the Book Boyfriend.

This week's Book Boyfriend has been a LONG time coming. It's a vamp that pretty much needs no introduction. It's the hottest, wickedly evil, unapologetic, and occasionally sweet Nordic God also known as:

Eric Northman

 I've had a thing for this 1000 year old Viking since the first page he was mentioned in Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series. Then I pretty much had a swoon-fit when I saw him on Tru Blood played by Alexander Skarsgard. I am sure that many of you guys were as giddy as me on Sunday night when Eric and Sookie (finally!) consummated their relationship! Though I'm just saying, that in the middle of the swampy forest doesn't exactly scream love nest to me. I've loved Eric from the very beginning. His unapologetic manipulating nature is very compelling, if annoying as all hell. He's tall, blonde, and has been my book crush for EVA...

"Sitting here on your bed, smelling your scent," he said in a voice so low I had to strain to hear it. "Sookie ... I remember everything... I can’t believe I felt something so strongly and was so happy for the first time in hundreds of years.”

Then I was so glad when Eric gets to show his gentler side when he loses his memories. Innocent and cute Eric is even more swoon-worthy than normal Eric...if that is even possible. You find out that he's actually a good person underneath all of that snark and anger, and you fall even more in love. He was so scared and child-like you just wanna hug him to you and kiss his forehead...

"We could go back," he said. In the dome light of the car, his face looked hard as stone. "We could go back to your house. I can stay with you always. We can know each other's bodies in every way, night after night. I could love you." His nostrils flared, and he looked suddenly proud. "I could work. You would not be poor. I would help you." "Sounds like a marriage," I said, trying to lighten the atmosphere. But my voice was too shaky. "
"Yes," he said."
